FBI distrust

Image
Since 2016, the FBI has been under intense scrutiny following the lack of findings in the Russian collusion claim. The Trump 2016 presidential campaign was one of the wildest underdog stories in modern politics. Trump not only wasn't a politician, but he also was running against one of the biggest ones at the time. Although, Clinton wasn't well liked, she still had tons of experience in the federal government. Through it all he still ended up winning, but not without consequence and claims of collusion. Trump was slapped with a big cheating scandal that shadowed him for two years.  Durham said the FBI should   have never launched an investigation   into alleged Russian collusion with Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign,   given the slim evidence .  That is a huge win for Trump, who has for years called out his unfair treatment by the FBI – and a media all too willing to find blame in the former president’s actions.  The investigation into the "collusion" clouded T...

McDonald's - who does it better?

Image
In the beginning of the Kamala Harris campaign she claimed to have been a worker at McDonald's. That claim has been debated by the Trump camp because they claim that it has no weight.  " The Trump camp has said, without evidence, it's a lie. At the same time, the Harris camp has not provided any evidence that the vice president did in fact work at the Golden Arches." (NewsWeek, 2024). Harris and a friend have claimed that she did work at McDonald's in the 80s, however it was never mentioned before and the friend just heard the claim from Harris' mother. Harris failed to mention this stint in either one of her books, but the claim is less important as the execution by the Trump campaign. Regardless of if Harris really worked at the fast food chain, it is a good strategic move to play on your opponents claims, especially when it pertains to the middle class. Harris has said the middle class as the back-bone of America and that she really would like to win some o...

Are the polls right?

Image
Ever since 2016, the polls have been up for discussion. Even before then but Clinton was such a big favorite in 2016 that it was almost incomprehensible that Trump beat her in that election. Ever since, the American people have had a difficult time trusting the poll numbers. How can it be that Trump defeated Hillary when she had such a big lead in the polls? This is the question that people are continuing to ask. Is Harris up or is Trump leading? It could be either becuase the polling is so skewed in many polls. "A new ABC News-Ipsos poll, conducted from Oct. 4-8, showed that among likely voters, Harris led Trump 50 percent to 48 percent, within the poll’s margin of error. Last month, the same poll found Harris at 51 percent support among likely voters compared to Trump at 46 percent." (Washington Post, 2024). It is hard to tell now, but even the media is scratching at the numbers to find any signs. In this article it is unclear just who to trust and how reliable the informa...

VP debate: How did it go?

Image
Last Tuesday the VP debate was held by NBC between Tim Walz and JD Vance. The debate was a breath of fresh air for some because it was not as hostile as the presidential debate. NBC incorporated the same rules, like the muted mics and allotted time for each candidate. There was a winner in this debate, but it wasn't because of policy. Everyone knows the republican candidate is going to bring up immigration, while the democrat is going to focus on abortion. The winner was the American people. We saw how a debate could be and what can happen when we hear the other side. Throughout the evening, although we had some confrontation, the candidates did agree with each other on some things. They sounded like they heard each other, even if they didn't agree with the other's stance. However, Politico, once again, decided to try and spin a victory for Tim Walz based on facial expressions. " Our appearance is fundamental to our body language, and research indicates that voters se...
